What is a food first approach?
With our food first approach, we work on foundations first, and second, offer functional and specialty lab testing (such as food sensitivity, comprehensive stool tests like the GI Map, hormone tests like the Dutch, organic acids, mycotoxin, and hair tissue mineral analysis tests) and therapeutic supplement protocols when needed.
If you have tried specific healing protocols and they haven’t worked:

Root cause approach involves the theory of tacks: remove the trigger (s), douse body with nutrients, and HEAL. There are many layers to root cause healing - some layers impact the digestive system, endocrine system, immune system and some impact the nervous system. We will peel back the different layers together.
Food First Approach practices use foundations as our first line of defense, with functional lab testing and healing supplement protocols to expedite the healing process.

What is a therapeutic diet?
A therapeutic diet is a meal plan, or a way of eating, that controls the intake, elimination, timing, or quantities of certain foods or nutrients as part of the nutritional therapy and healing support of a chronic condition. This is in many instances short term. Once healing has been achieved, foods can be added back in to tolerance.

What are nutraceuticals?
Nutraceuticals are dietary substances that are rich in nutrients and derived from whole foods or parts of food sources. They can be used to improve health, delay aging, reduce symptoms of chronic diseases, and increase life expectancy. Nutraceuticals are often used to support chronic illness & diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, autoimmunes, and gastrointestinal and neurological disorders.
Nutraceuticals are formulated dietary supplements that are derived from natural resources. They included vitamins, minerals, nutrients, phytochemicals, herbs, plant essences, and homepathics, They can be purchased over the counter or at a certified or licensed practitioner’s clinic. It is important to work with a trusted practitioner who has training and expertise in the use of healing supplements like nutraceuticals.

Eat real food that is balanced when you need it. It’s about an abundance mindset, not about deprivation or restriction. It’s about nourishment, not always food portions. Bulking up your veggies + fruits. You can sometimes be malnourished and still be over-eating.
