Is Health Coaching right for me?

Health coaching is the bridge between medicine and the kitchen

Therapeutic food plans are important, but if we don’t have the right tools we won’t succeed. Equally as important is nutrition education, such as nutrient density and food quality. There is so much education about food that we all require to be successful on our health and wellness journey.

For example:

  • Difference between a whole carb and a processed carb

  • Processed oil and cold pressed oils

  • What is inflammatory and anti-inflammatory

Health Coaching helps manage:

All the modifiable, personal lifestyle factors.

  • Sleep

  • Relaxation

  • Movement

  • Nutrition

  • Stress management

  • Relationships

  • Home Environment

  • Removing Toxins

  • Mental/Emotional/Spiritual/Physical health

We need to know how to cook real food, whole food, whole fruits and veggies, lean proteins (both plant-based and animal), and healthy fats. We need to feel confident in the kitchen so we don’t feel the need to rely on processed foods, Which are a source of toxins that adds to our toxic load. Preservatives, stabilizers, dyes, gums, natural flavors, bioengineered ingredients, artificial sweeteners, etc.

It takes many transformations to learn how to eat for our body.  None of us were born knowing how to eat and it sure can be a confusing world out there.

Health Coaches teach you that pleasure is meeting an immediate need.  But gratification is something that in the long run requires time and sacrifice, but it gives a greater amount of freedom and therefore a greater amount of pleasure overall. People really want the gratification of getting healthy.

We are motivated by two factors: we either move toward pleasure or move away from pain!

As a coach it is our job to uncriss-cross those wires and start to realize that moving toward pleasure and away from pain actually means getting healthier.
